We’ve updated our requirements for local payments to US-based receiving accounts to let Currenxie Global Account holders continue enjoying faster processing times and lower fees.
Routing transfers to US-based receiving accounts through local rail now requires address details on your saved beneficiary profiles. Profiles missing an address will automatically process via wire transfer (SWIFT).
For reference, here is the fee breakdown based on the routing method used:
Local USD Payment: USD 3.00 / transfer
SWIFT: USD 8.00 / transfer
Updating your saved beneficiaries
To add address details to an existing beneficiary, account holders will have to delete the current profile and create a new entry following the steps below.
Note: Beneficiary profiles with pending transactions cannot be removed until settlement is complete. Payments are processed daily, after which the profile can be deleted and recreated.
Step-by-step guide
Step 1: Locate the beneficiary
Navigate to “Beneficiaries” in the left side menu of the Currenxie Global Account web app (or via the top-left drop-down menu in the mobile app).
Step 2: Locate and view beneficiary details
Locate the relevant beneficiary with a US-based receiving account, click the three dots (...) icon associated with their entry, and select “Details”.
Step 3: Delete the initial profile
Scroll to the bottom of the page, click the red “Delete” button, and confirm by clicking “Delete” in the pop-up modal to remove the profile.
Step 4: Set up the new profile
Return to the “Beneficiaries” page and click “Add” in the top-right corner to set up the updated profile.
Step 5: Fill in the updated beneficiary profile
Re-enter the beneficiary’s details and complete the new mandatory fields: Street Address, City/Town, State/Province, Zip/Postal Code, and Beneficiary Country/Territory.
Note:
- International addresses (including non-US addresses for individual or company registration) are accepted, provided the beneficiary holds a US-based receiving account
- All address fields are mandatory. For Hong Kong addresses, please enter 00000 in the Zip/Postal Code field
Once set up, you can select this updated beneficiary profile when creating a new payment to route your USD transfer via the local rail.
