If you already have a virtual card, when you receive and activate a physical card your card number remains the same, but your CVV and expiry date will change.
In some cases, a merchant may identify a Visa card based on the card number and by default, use the previous CVV and expiry date when processing. This will result in a declined transaction, and interrupt any recurring transactions or subscriptions you have.
To solve this problem, renew your card details on the merchant’s system by following these steps:
- Activate your new physical Currenxie Card
- Retrieve the new CVV and expiry date from your Currenxie app
- Log in to your account with the merchant
- Enter the new card CVV and expiry date in your payment information
Following these steps, your card details should then be updated, enabling the transaction. Repeat for any other merchant sites as necessary.
If you still encounter difficulties, please contact us or the merchant for support.
